Forehead

Downturned Mouth

Drooping mouth corners can give the face a sad or angry look, even when in a good mood, which can affect the self-esteem of the sufferer.
 

One cause of a down turned mouth is a set of muscles on the jaw called depressor anguli oris (DAO),which run from the corners of the lips down to the chin. These muscles are responsible for the corners of the mouth turning down when frowning, and when overused.

Gummy Smile

Around 15% of people suffer from a gummy smile.  This can prevent people from smiling in social situations, in photos, and even covering their mouths when speaking and laughing in the company of other people.

The upper lip muscles can sometimes elevate so much that your top lip almost disappears when you smile. This gives the appearance of a very prominent gum around the top teeth when these muscles are contracting.

 

A small injection on each side of the lower nose is given to relax this muscle and prevent it from raising the lip so much, allowing it to slightly drop.

Masseters & Jaw Slimming

This muscle, called masseter muscle, is often a primary cause of the excessive jaw width and teeth grinding. Botulinum toxin injections weakens the corner part of the muscle, hence improve teeth grinding.

The injection can also significantly reduce the size of this muscle and narrow the lower part of the face. An additional benefit from the side profile is that the cheeks become highlighted, adding definition and contour to the face.

Neck Lift 

With ageing, loss of subcutaneous fat and muscle tone around the jawline and the neck results with sagging skin and gives the appearance of “Turkey Neck”. 

The platysma muscle can be injected with small and superficial doses of Botox® along the visible platysmal bands and beneath the jawline. This softens the appearance of the platysmal bands and slightly lifts the jawline skin up, resulting in a subtle non-surgical facelift.

This treatment is not suitable for individuals with skin laxity or excess localised fat in the neck.

Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) can affect confidence for many. When excessive sweating interferes with daily activities, it can cause embarrassment.

The chin is formed by the mentalis muscle and the jawbone. This can be hyperactive which some may not like or find unattractive.
 

The muscle in this area can move involuntarily, this causes dimples or a pitted like appearance to the skin on the chin. One anti-wrinkle injection into each side of the chin can prevent this from happening improving the appearance. 
 

This works well in combination with the DAO muscles to treat a downturned mouth.
